Fail equipment to practise the abnormal procedures. A failure stays through a power cycle until you clear it.

Displays PFD display failsThe primary flight display goes blank; the system switches to reversionary mode. MFD display failsThe multi-function display goes blank; the system switches to reversionary mode. Display crosstalk error (PFD and MFD not communicating)Red X over the box right of the tapes where the system messages show; the crosstalk message. PFD supply voltage lowThe PFD1 VOLTAGE message (the display reduces its power usage). MFD supply voltage lowThe MFD1 VOLTAGE message (the display reduces its power usage). Avionics units Integrated avionics unit 1 failsIts GPS, NAV, COM and glideslope receivers, and the voice alerts from unit 1. Integrated avionics unit 2 failsIts GPS, NAV, COM and glideslope receivers; the autopilot and manual trim are lost. Navigation GPS 1 failsThe first GPS receiver; GPS navigation is lost when both fail. GPS 2 failsThe second GPS receiver; GPS navigation is lost when both fail. NAV 1 radio failsRed X over the NAV 1 frequency row; no reception on that radio. NAV 2 radio failsRed X over the NAV 2 frequency row; no reception on that radio. Glideslope receiver 1 failsNo glideslope on NAV 1. Glideslope receiver 2 failsNo glideslope on NAV 2. Marker beacon receiver failsNo marker beacon annunciation or tone. NAV 1 remote transfer key stuckThe message only; the key is not modelled. NAV 2 remote transfer key stuckThe message only; the key is not modelled. Communication COM 1 radio failsRed X over the COM 1 frequency row; no transmit or receive on that radio. COM 2 radio failsRed X over the COM 2 frequency row; no transmit or receive on that radio. COM 1 tuning fails (121.500 loads automatically)121.500 loads into COM 1 (active, green, no red X); its standby and tuning are inert, the radio still works. COM 2 tuning fails (121.500 loads automatically)121.500 loads into COM 2 (active, no red X); its standby and tuning are inert, the radio still works. Audio panel failsFail-safe: headset and microphone connect straight to COM 1; no speaker audio. Stuck microphone (COM 1 push-to-talk key stuck)COM 1 transmits continuously until the key is pressed again. COM 2 push-to-talk key stuckCOM 2 transmits continuously until the key is pressed again. COM 1 remote transfer key stuckThe message only; the key is not modelled. COM 2 remote transfer key stuckThe message only; the key is not modelled. Transponder failsXPDR FAIL at the foot of the PFD; no replies. Sensors Attitude and heading reference fails (AHRS)Attitude and heading lost: ATTITUDE FAIL and the HDG flag. AHRS configuration module fails (CALIBRATE AHRS/MAG)A yellow CALIBRATE AHRS/MAG box over the attitude field; the attitude stays. AHRS monitor trips (CHECK ATTITUDE, autopilot engaged)A yellow CHECK ATTITUDE box over the attitude field, with the autopilot engaged. Magnetometer fails (heading only)Attitude stays valid; heading is flagged. Air data computer failsAirspeed, altitude, vertical speed and OAT flagged. Outside air temperature sensor failsThe OAT box alone is flagged. Carbon monoxide detector failsThe CO detector messages only. Engine Engine and airframe unit failsRed X over every engine and electrical gauge (also lost when both avionics units fail). Autopilot Autopilot system failureAFCS annunciation; autopilot and manual trim unavailable. Autopilot pitch servo failurePTCH annunciation; autopilot inoperative. Autopilot roll servo failureROLL annunciation; autopilot inoperative. Pitch trim failure (manual electric trim)PTRM annunciation; the autopilot stays engaged. Databases Navigation database invalidDatabase error message. Basemap database invalidDatabase error message. Terrain database invalidDatabase error message; terrain awareness display unavailable. Obstacle database invalidDatabase error message; terrain awareness display unavailable. Airport terrain database invalidDatabase error message; terrain awareness display unavailable. Airport diagram database invalidDatabase error message; no airport diagrams. Chart database invalidDatabase error message; no charts (the fitted chart viewer's own). Airport directory database invalidDatabase error message. Database version mismatch between the displaysRed X over the box right of the tapes where the system messages show; the displays stop sharing flight plans; the mismatch messages. Aircraft alerts Carbon monoxide level highCO LVL HIGH warning in the annunciation window, with the continuous tone. Carbon monoxide detector needs serviceThe CO DET SRVC message in the Alerts window. Oil pressure lowOIL PRESSURE warning and tone; the oil pressure gauge falls into its red band. Bus voltage low (alternator failed)LOW VOLTS warning (no tone on the ground) and the volts gauge low. Bus voltage highHIGH VOLTS warning and tone; the volts gauge high. Vacuum lowLOW VACUUM caution; the vacuum gauge low. Standby battery in useSTBY BATT caution. Left fuel tank lowLOW FUEL L caution (also raised by the fuel totaliser below 5 gallons a side). Right fuel tank lowLOW FUEL R caution (also raised by the fuel totaliser below 5 gallons a side). Other Terrain awareness audio source failsThe terrain audio fault message and status. How to use the knobs Turn a knob by dragging it, scrolling over it, or clicking its left or right half. On a double knob, the outer ring is the large knob and the part inside it is the small knob. To push a knob, click the centre of it: the raised cap (on a double knob, the push is on the small knob). Enter or Space pushes the knob you have clicked too. Hold CLR on the MFD for a second to jump to the Navigation Map.
